Buyingsports brasalways felt like a chore to me. A lot of them are expensive, and the sizing is often tricky to figure out. Before I had kids, I reliably wore sports bras fromNikethat lasted years and years, but after growing out of them, I didn’t want to pay close to $50 for a new one and started shopping around. I tried sports bras fromOld Navy,Lululemon, Girlfriend Collective, Target — even nursing sports bras — and always found them lacking in some way, whether due to fit or value.
Then I started hearing about an activewear brand on Amazon called CRZ Yoga that people said was comparable to Alo and Lulu. Separately, a relative who was a serious Peloton-head at the time told me CRZ’s workout gear (inexpensive, cute) was the only kind she buys, so I decided to try one of its sports bras.

The first one I bought was this strappy crisscross bra, and it quickly became the only one I wanted to wear while working out. I got a small and found it to be true to size without feeling too constricting (but still supportive). I liked the strappy crisscross detail in the back and the fact that the straps in the front leading up to them were broad, flat, and comfortable. It’s a cute bra. If I were a person who worked out shirtless, I would happily wear this on its own. I had found my new favorite sports bra, and it was under $30.
I then got a couple more, including this racerback style and this plain style with adjustable straps, both just as nice and comfortable. If you don’t like any of these styles, there are plenty of others to choose from:wide strap,V-neck,longline,ruched. They all come in a bunch of trendy colors, wash well, and are durable. (I got my first one in the winter of 2024, and two years later it still looks great with no stretching out or fraying that I’ve noticed.) I wear them for both high- and low-impact workouts — to see my trainer once a week,on runs, to theLagree studio, at home — and they always stay in place and keep me cool. I’ve since ventured into other pieces, like a workout tank andrunning shorts. For affordable, well-made workout gear, you can’t beat CRZ Yoga.
